**APPROVED MINUTES**

Mason, Michigan

June 5, 2007

The Board of Ingham County Road Commissioners met for a specially called meeting on Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at 1:00 P.M. in the conference room located in the northwest section of the Road Commission’s Austin E. Cavanaugh Administration Building at 301 N. Bush Street, Mason, Michigan.

Present: Larry R. Smith, Chair, Joseph A. Guenther, Vice Chair, and Shirley M. Rodgers, Member.

Also Present: Peter A. Cohl, Legal Counsel, John W. Midgley, Managing Director, Deborah L. Bellows, Secretary to the Board, Joseph D. Pulver, Director of Operations, and Kathryn M. Haves, Administrative Services Director.

Moved by Commissioner Rodgers and Supported by Commissioner Guenther, that the Board enter closed session at 1:00 P.M. for the purpose of discussing an Attorney-Client Privileged communication from the Board’s labor counsel regarding various personnel related issues. Roll call vote: Commissioner Smith, yes, Commissioner Guenther, yes, Commissioner Rodgers, yes. Motion carried unanimously.

Moved by Commissioner Rodgers and Supported by Commissioner Guenther, that the Board return to open session at 2:30 P.M. Roll call vote: Commissioner Smith, yes, Commissioner Guenther, yes, Commissioner Rodgers, yes. Motion carried unanimously.

Moved by Commissioner Guenther and Supported by Commissioner Rodgers, that effective June 18, 2007, the Eastern District Garage will be closed and not re-opened until at least September 17, 2007. Staff is hereby directed to take all necessary and appropriate steps to implement this closure and to notify the employees currently assigned to the Eastern District Garage that they will be reassigned to other districts maintained and operated by the Ingham County Road Commission.

No public comment was offered. The meeting adjourned at 2:35 P.M.
