CLOSINGS

Road
- Between Dewey Road and Moechel Road in Sections 32 and 33 of Stockbridge Township; will
be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday until further notice for road
construction.
Columbia Road - Over Kalamink Creek, a half mile east of M-52 in White Oak Township, due to deterioration. This bridge closure will remain in effect until further notice. To see the news release regarding the closure click here.
Elm Road – Between Grieb Road and
Grand River Avenue in Section 11 of Leroy Township will be closed for repairs to the CSX
Railroad crossing. This closure will begin on
Thursday, July 29, 2010 and remain closed for the next few days until further notice.
Gramer Road - Between Grieb Road and Grand
River Avenue in Section 12 of Leroy Township will be closed for repairs to the CSX
Railroad crossing. This closure will begin on
Thursday, July 29, 2010 and remain closed for the next few days until further notice.
Meech Road - Between Grand River Avenue and Linn Road in Section 5 of Leroy Township will be closed for repairs to the CSX Railroad crossing. This closure is to begin on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 and extend through Friday, July 30th.
Mt.
Hope Road – Farm Lane to Okemos Road: Road
reconstruction and drain crossing replacement to be performed. Meridian Charter Township. Start date: Road construction and detour is
anticipated to commence the week of August 16th.
Completion Date: Mid to Late-November. A
detour for through traffic will be Farm Lane to Hagadorn Road, and Hagadorn Road to Jolly
Road to Okemos Road. Local access will be
maintained at all times.
Noble Road - Over Doan Creek, between Meech Road and Dietz Road in sections 8 and 17 of Leroy Township, due to deterioration. This bridge closure will remain in effect until further notice. To see the news release regarding the closure click here.
Old Lansing Road - Between Waverly Road and
Cadillac Street is scheduled to be closed for approximately one week commencing Monday,
August 2, 2010. Consumers Energy will be replacing a leak on a 12” x 6” valve
located in the road pavement. The depth of the gas main is about 23 feet. This repair is
being conducted ahead of the scheduled ICRC Waverly Road construction project. The road
closure and detour will be conducted by Consumers Energy, which is approved by the Ingham
County Road Commission. Signs are up to inform the public of the closure. Residents of the
subdivision will have access via Old Lansing Road and Waverly Road.
Wallace Road – Grand River Avenue and
I-96 in Section 12 of Leroy Township will be closed for repairs to the CSX Railroad
crossing. This closure will begin on Friday,
July 30, 2010 and remain closed for the next few days until further notice.
Waverly Road – Barton Road to Grand
River Avenue: Bridge repair, deck resurfacing, and roadway resurfacing work to be
performed. Start date: Mid-May. Completion Date: Mid-September. This project will involve a full closure for the
bridge deck resurfacing. Starting July 6,
Waverly Road will be closed north of Willow Street in order to complete the planned deck
and superstructure repairs on the bridge over the Grand River. A detour for through traffic will be posted on
Willow Street, Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, and BR-96 (Grand River Avenue). Alternate routes are I-96 to Grand River Avenue
(BR-96), and also Larch Street (BR-US-27) to North Street.
Local access will be maintained at all times.
ICRC anticipates reopening the Waverly Bridge to through traffic the week of
August 9th. Single lane closures
will continue through mid-September to complete road and bridge construction.
Waverly Road – Columbia Road to Pleasant
River Drive: Bridge repairs, deck resurfacing, and roadway resurfacing work to be
performed. Aurelius Township and Delhi Charter
Township. Start date: Road construction and
detour is anticipated to commence the week of August 2nd. Completion Date: Late-October. A detour for through traffic will be posted on
Columbia, Onondaga, and Holt Roads. Local
access will be maintained at all times.
Willoughby Road - Between College Road and Hagadorn Road in Section 18 of Alaiedon Township, due to failures of the bridge supports over the Sycamore Creek. Traffic will be routed south to Holt Road.
